There are a lot of reasons why you might be thinking about moving from a piece of Scarborough real estate to a home with a Santa Ana zip code. The area is virtually snow free, with some of the best weather to be found anywhere on the continent. The economy continues to be vibrant, and some of the most important business and entertainment districts in the entire world are close by.

Orange County, where Santa Ana is located, is legendary in the pop culture of our society. Whether you are from New York or Canada, you have probably heard of it. There are a lot of good things happening here, but there are also some darker sides to the county and the city of Santa Ana which you may not have heard about from your Mississauga condo.

Like many large cities, and particularly those in which it is easy for lower income residents to live all year long, crime is an issue in Santa Ana. Those living in Toronto condos and lofts may have some familiarity with gang violence but it's unlikely to have reached the same levels even in this large city that it can in Californian cities such as Santa Ana. A popularization of the gangster culture within inner cities has certainly not helped in this area.

However, gangs and gang members tend to be fairly immobile, that is they stick to certain areas of the city. These are the places you don't want to find yourself living, or you will soon be wishing for the comfort of Toronto lofts or the Calgary suburbs. However, there are plenty of neighborhoods in Santa Ana which are safe and secure; let's take a look at a couple of them here.

Floral Park

Without doubt, this neighborhood is the best that Santa Ana has to offer. It is the oldest in the city, and is a throwback to a bygone era. That era was a safer one, and the residents here are still sheltered from the problems that plague inner Santa Ana. Trees line the streets, and the neighborhood has earned its name as is obvious from the many different types of landscape on display. Orange blossoms, quiet Friday nights, and historic buildings are the hallmarks of Floral Park.

Fisher Park

Another neighborhood in northern Santa Ana, Fisher Park seems leagues away from the busy atmosphere of the southern areas of the city. Those who have put North York homes for sale will find Fisher Park to be much more familiar than any other Santa Ana neighborhood, with its modern architecture and smart infrastructure.

Washington Square

Again, streamlined streets, a location far from the inner city, and period architecture make Washington Square one of the most noted neighborhoods here in Santa Ana. Yet more proof that civilized life can continue just blocks away from areas of notoriety!
